  I have used RRS L-plates for nearly ten years, along with a BH-40 ballhead. I have a Canon 7D and now an Olympus OM-D EM1 MK I and MK II. The BH-40 handles my Canon 70-200mm telephoto comfortably. I recently added a table-top tripod TFA-01 with a BH-25 LR ball head which is perfect for travel (it can even handle my Zuiko 40--150mm telephoto). I can flip from horizontal to vertical shooting in about two seconds for my pano landscape shots. All the gear has worked perfectly, and it even attracts conversations with other photographers out in the field while traveling. There is a strong RRS following of serious photographers all over the US and Europe. I love this gear!
